Last Saturday November 16th, from the Educational Service of Viu el Teatre, we started a new way of research and learning. The first training session of the Global Immersion in Early Childhood Arts Project bas been launched. This is a project in collaboration with Bressol Municipal Schools of Barcelona, with the objective to make the arts become a pedagogical resource in the classrooms of children from 0 to 3 years old.

It is an encouraging pilot project with three lines of action.
The first one: training for the educators of the Bressol schools.
The second one: Application of all this knowledge in the classrooms.
The third one: the experience for the little ones (babies, crawlers and walkers), of living a show in the classrooms of their respective schools.

This first day of training took place at the Teatre Romea and was directed by the actress Maria Santallusia. The session from 9 am to 3 pm served to break the ice and learn how to dramatize the stories by working with the voice, the puppets and the body itself.
Lorena Lliró, music therapist and actress of Pintamúsica and Cinemúsica complemented the day by providing musical resources that accompany this dramatization of the stories.
From Viu el Teatre team, there was also the presence of our external consultant, the pedagogue Esther Belvis.

The participating educators were part of the teams of the EBM Can Caralleu, the EBM “El tren de Fort Pienc” and different Bressol schools of Ciutat Vella districts. On February 1st, they will get a new training session where they can continue researching about the performing arts, how they contribute to the development of the abilities of children from 0 to 3 years in the management of emotions, creativity and imagination.

You can see in the following video a compilation of images of this first session of training.
