Every March 20th, we celebrate the World Theater Day for children.
This year, from the Viu el Teatre performing arts platform, we wanted to dedicate it to all the schools of artistic languages in Catalonia that transmit to the little ones the love and passion for the performing arts.
During February and March 2021 we have shot with the young and emerging filmmaker Lara Stolzenberger in different cities of Catalonia where girls and boys who complement their education with artistic activities (theater, dance, music or circus) have sung, danced and performed the song composed by musician Keco Pujol: “Viu el Teatre”.
The collaboration with ACET association has been a key for the creation of an audiovisual project. More than one hundred boys and girls have participated and they were from the schools of the Lleida Theater Classroom, Circ i Teatre d’Amposta, Reus Reading Center, Performing Arts from Castelldefels i Actua, Lazzigags, Timbal and Artmúsic from Barcelona.
The video will be launched next Friday, March 19th at 8pm on the YouTube channel of Viu el Teatre with the slogan “Porta’m al teatre”, an international movement promoted by the network of children and youth theater professionals Assitej, in which Viu el Teatre is a member.
