Once again, the Viu el Teatre programme concludes its season for schools and secondary schools with figures that consolidate its trajectory and reinforce its commitment to promoting the performing arts among younger audiences. In this edition, a total of 25,000 students from educational centres across Catalonia attended the programme’s theatres and activities, a figure that reflects the combined participation in the two educational initiatives promoted by Viu el Teatre: Viu el Teatre amb l’Escola and Cooltiva’t.
These figures not only highlight the growing interest in educational cultural initiatives, but also reaffirm the need to continue working to bring performing arts closer to children and young people, fostering their curiosity, critical thinking and artistic sensitivity.
The programme, driven by the educational service of Viu el Teatre, offers a schedule of performances and artistic activities aimed at students aged 0 to 12 throughout the school year, allowing for pedagogical continuity and a real integration of the performing arts within the educational calendar. Each proposal is designed to encourage reflection, debate and motivation, while providing educational tools that complement the stage experience.
The performances and activities mainly take place in emblematic venues such as the Teatre Goya, Teatre Romea and Teatre Condal in Barcelona, although some proposals can also be carried out directly in schools.
At Viu el Teatre, we are already working on the next edition!
